hey im going to North Missouri this spring or summer for a get away and was wondering if there is any tracks near the Unionville area North Missouri and South Iowa. thought it would be fun to hit a track or two for a race while im up there.
National-style track, no big jumps just natural terrain with sawdust mixed into the dirt for drainage.Because of the sawdust, the track gets nice and rough with deep braking and accel bumps...at least the last time I was there it did (2002?).
There also was a sweet track near Joplin, MO (Central MO), I believe. That track I didn't get to ride but witnessed it. It was a natural terrain, rolling hills, big air masterpiece. Cannot recall the name of it.
Kahoka currently is not open.
Find Kirksville and Moberly. I have never raced there, but if you check in with shops there, they can get you the info.
Columbia has one at the State Park north of I-70. I like loamy tracks so I didn't get there much.
Check in when you get here and we'll see how far of a drive you are able to stand.
Pretty good track about 10mi NE of St. Joseph, MO.
The track at Finger Lakes State Park in Columbia isn't bad either.

I'm not.
now days could handle the way he lays it out on the table!
Hope it returns, but idt it will get as rough as it used to.
that place use to be some of if not the best training you could get
and it changed every lap!
beast.
Not sure if that place is still open.
Anyone have a clue what track that was? Does it exist anymore? Way too much partying in the years after and I can't remember much but I can still run through the layout of that track in my head.
Used to hit there, Finger lakes, a track not too far from Warrensburg..I think it was Kingsville or something like that and spent many many many weekends tearing up the Cooper Creek riding area near Clinton.
Pit Row
I only have two bad memories from there. 1. Being how bitter that sawdust tasted, and 2. Running at a hare scrambles there it rained the night before. They had this crazy gnarly water crossing (read river, maybe the wyconda or something like that?) that my bike drowned out and got sucked 50 yrds downstream in. Never been so tired in my life after that race.
The place is just laid back and gorgeous. Would be nice to have a big race there again some day
