Was clicking through to the link in Racerhead to some Vintage MX inn Idaho and stumbled onto these old bike photos. This show was at a Harley-Davidson dealer, by the way.

This one is my favorite.

Nice 73 Maico too.

Is that a Rickman Harley frame? Or just Rickman body work?
The photo's caption said it was a 1942 Harley 750 in a BSA A10 frame. Rickman bodywork obviously. Looks like good "Day in the Dirt" material.

Also seems that "Downtown Harley-Davidson's" owner likes MX. Some nice old bikes in there.

love the big can style airboxes on the old Huskies. Were these bikes all from 1 collection? Here in Portland OR at Bob Lanphere's bike superstore he has tons of old goodies. Its cool walking thru looking at all the sweet hand made 1 off stuff some of these old MXers had. Bikes back then sure had personality compared to the current crop of rides.

and then in turn I ran across my own photos... reposted several times...

YES it is a BSA frame,
NO Bob Lanphere had nothing to do with it at all

it is my Vintage Motocross Bike show - and the riders of the Pacific Northwest all entered their bikes.
in fact you can see all 7 millions cool bikes, starting here: http://www.siegecraftnw.com/BS11-P0.htm
