I bought a 6d a few months and got a bad concussion off of a tip over in a corner. Never been concussed before this, and I buy arguably the best helmet and it happens. Every crash is different, but I’ve never had a concussion in any of my other helmets. Probably just a freak crash with the 6d.

I believe they stopped making moto helmets at least 8 years ago. Those helmets were junk.

I ordered some Fly F2 Carbon helmets for me and my kid. They weren't shaped right for our heads but they were really nice helmets. Had to send them back.
Scored MSR closeout helmets with MIPS for $100 each. I am pretty happy about the level of safety with MIPS for that price.

I've owned quite a few brands of helmet including Arai & Shoei and lots of others.

For that Price range you could get one of the older style Shoei (thin dirtbike Express has them for 250-300) but personally I'd probably look for a MIPS equipped Fly F2 carbon. By far best value for money helmet I've owned, pretty well built & if you have a good smash in it again, you're more likely to replace it than carry on wearing it.

not gonna find a 6D new in the UK for that kind of money.
