I'm not a fan of "Guy the chef" but he did a GREAT job last night.

The guy was SMOOTH on the mic and is a genuine fan of the sport.

Excellent job.

Most sports shows balance out a douche or two with a Mega Hot Chick, even if she just sits there and smiles.

Can they bring in LeeAnn Tweeden so I have at least one reason to watch(just like stupid sports shows)
And please, No Promo Models. A business chick. A sportscaster, or reporter.
Or even the best Miss Supercross ever.

Hot girls and boobs on TV are never a bad thing. But we already have that (never enough, but it is covered).

When I first saw him, I just cringed and thought oh shiiitttt.... this will not end well.

But he actually did great, seems to be a true fan, so as the occasional guest he did better that 99.9% of us jack offs could ever do on live TV.

You mean Jamie Bestwick? That dude is the best vert rider of all time and you call him "that Limey bicycle dude"? Really man, have a little respect for a true professional who has accomplished a heck of a lot, he's pretty much the RV of bmx vert.

I really didn't enjoy his commentating, but mostly was just being a smart-ass.
I edited it so no bmxers get sad.

Guy is a douche. I'm sorry, but if you bleach and spike your hair (facial not excluded), wear a pinky ring, autograph your own fridge, and change the pronunciation of you last name (it's ferry, not fieti), then you're a douche. For those that say he's expanding the audience - seriously? Who watches food network and then reads up on Guy Ferry being at SX and thinks "Hey! Guy Ferry is going to be talking about this. I think I'll become a fan of the sport and pump some $$$ into the industry." Nobody. Not one person.
Have we as a human race come this far, and still make fun of others for the way they look? Are you what, 15?

I guess theres always going to be someone that complains. I tried the fried hair guys already fully cooked gourmet sausages from Walmart a couple of weeks ago and was not impressed. Guy Fieri or whatever his name is. That's fine. I don't like the sausages he puts his name on, but apparently A LOT of people do. If his sausages represent whatever else he cooks, I doubt I will be a big fan of his food, but there are A LOT of people that do like his food. They like his TV shows and him as a colorful person, etc.

Now, the best thing that could come out of this is that someone at home was watching Supercross the other night and said to his friend who never has seen supercross "Hey, I saw your favorite cook on this race I watched the other night and he seemed like he was having fun!".

Friend that has never watched Supercross will say "Hey, I gotta see what my favorite cook is watching or participating in" and will go dig that race up on youtube or whatever and will be impressed what he sees and then shares the link on his facebook Guy Fieri page and 10,000 to 100,000 other thousand people, fans of Guy will see it, watch the race, and say "Hey, that's a pretty interesting sport that Guy likes".....maybe 100,000 other new Supercross fans by the time next year rolls around. Maybe...maybe not...but any publicity like this is good for the sport.

You guys are fucking crazy. He is obviously a fan. He was at the race. He rides himself. He knew what he was talking about. He just happens to be a celebrity. They invited him to help with the commentating. He is very good in front of the camera. He is on TV multiple times every day of the week. He has a huge fan following. He kicked ass. Whats the problem? His talent and experience on camera shined through. I don't know what you guys were watching.

I agree. He was engaged in the conversations intelligently, knew the riders and what was going on, and was comfortable on camera.. I thought he was actually more engaged and comfortable than the two to his left.

That wouldn't surprise me, but he does know moto Laughing He likely spends more time getting ready than my wife, and it takes her an hour minimum.

I've noticed a direct reflection in the time it takes a woman to get ready, and her natural looks. Can't polish a turd...

I swear to god, no matter what happens at a supercross, there is bound to be complaints. Who cares if he was commentating? He rides motocross and likes it, and he wasnt being a complete idiot, what in the world is the big deal? He did a fine job on commentating, and even if he didnt, are you watching for the commentating or the race? The dude said like a max of 10 sentences the whole time, wooooo such a disgrace!!!
