So sweet. IIRC the fastest between the 250R, Tri-Z, and Tecate, but could not match the handling of the Honda.

If you look, he had USD forks... probably a Penaki shock.... AND still the benefit of a superior light two-stroke....

They should have banned idiots riding them., Barbara Walters and her jew team of lawyers that had them stamped 'dangerous" so they could make millions suing the big three... not ban the bikes...

I had to search for this post after seeing one of these at my local race track I work and ride at. It was in a trike class and made me stop and do a double take. Honda motor wedged in there. Not a trike fan (other than nostalgia of 85/86), but it was definitely interesting.

All of this and not a single mention of the iconic 250R?
My buddy bought a mint 250R a few years ago for a great price. He flipped it 2 days later for a $1,500 profit.

They were lots of those there but there must be some new trend I am not aware of where they use ridiculously tiny tires on them now.

And this was ridiculous

One of my life long friends father was one of the lead attorneys on the case. Cleared close to 50mil. When we were 20, he and his wife were killed in an airplane crash in the carolinas. Reeves, the son, never really knew his dad being he was gone all of the time and had over 100mil thrown in his lap at 21.... they may have beat the big 3 on that case but it ruined the families of the attorneys as well. Karma you could say.

Wow, as the world turns... I miss my times on a clay track with the Tri-Zs... I had no parents, and that sport kept me alive...

Small 3-wheeler at glamis at night while drunk. Riding around on a small campground oval, trying to haul ass, so fun.

I used to have a 250R when i was a teenager, I remember how awesome it was and how safe it felt compared to the 185s and 200s I grew up on. I just had the suspension and power to really control it and use it.

30+ years later I find one and do total rebuild on it and I realize what a deathtrap it is compared to a fully built race quad. I kept it around long enough to take some pics and ride once or twice then it was sold!

I watched a 3 wheeler race at Breezewood in late September or early October. Those guys are a special breed. I don't think I saw one of them riding with a buckled helmet.

This one guy jumped the 100' uphill jump. He shorted it bad a couple times and I couldn't believe he rode it out. Then when he finally cleared it, he air wheelied the thing and came real close to looping it. But he made it. One of the craziest things I've seen at the track in a long time. Believe he was on a Honda 250R that had a newer inverted fork conversion.

Ohhh...a 1985 125M. I got one for my birthday and smacked a tree on it the next day. Bent the forks up and got 20 stitches in my hand. Mom refused to repair it and sold it. The only memories I have of it is the scar I still have on my hand.

Don't like Jewish people I see.

I guess comments like that are allowed here. I don't care for that kind of talk but it's your right I suppose.

Apart from that, does anyone actually care that 3 wheelers were banned or are people just being funny?

They're 3 wheelers! They're like zipper coats in the 80's, try to forget they ever happened.

We make hoses for the old 3 wheelers and I have seen some amazing trike builds!

I have thought about buying one just to put in our trade show booth as an eye catcher

Yes I actually like three wheelers and quads, lots of fond memories of them from my days living in the frozen northeast. When you have five months of soaked/sloppy/frozen/freezing conditions they are great.I live in NC now and don't really need them anymore, don't own any ATV's, but I scoff at the whole notion that dirtbike riders have to hate ATV's. It's silly
