Has this guy walking through my neighborhood. I was like, “wrist release, to pump station disconnect”!

Lmbo

He’s given me ten full broadside stops in the middle of the street. The 40 yard pin was right on his heart.

Send bail money!

That's a beast! You should find his trail from the woods to the neighborhood and set up there!

Nice reminder to scan the road while on my Ducati. It’s that time of year, and if you see one sprint across the road, his wingman is likely in close pursuit.

Saw one not far from my old place ... 10 point monster walking across the 4 lane street like he owned it. Me and two other pickups just stopped dead in the street watching and shaking our heads. Yep inside city limits ... just nuts.

Forget about the hiways and freeways around here ... blood alley right now.

Just leave a trail of apple slices to your back yard with one on a bear trap. 😉
On a more serious note, I almost hit a buck this morning with my truck on my way out to go fishing.

When I lived in North Carolina, I had a buck hit me in the car. Driving to work one morning and he just ran head long in to the drivers door.

They definitely give you that OH SHIT!!! feeling. Scared the hell outta me. Dark, foggy highways, they come out of nowhere.

It’s amazing how dumb they are this time of year. I’ve had several incidents where a buck with a couple does would refuse to get out of the road and I’d have to drive around them. Now, if your out hunting in the woods trying to find one, good luck.

I've been hunting in Texas for nearly 50 years, and have never seen a rack like that.

Well, one I could shoot anyway.

My great aunt has a ranch in Uvalde that a cousin runs now.

Monsters, but they come with a price.

His main beams are impressive. My neighbors would all be dialing 911. “Some Redneck just killed Bambi”!

By the looks of how swollen his neck is, you may want to keep your distance. He might try to make you his bitch.

Had one jump into the bed of my F250 while driving down the road. Flopped around and jumped right back out and continued on.

I travelled the 86 yesterday for an hour from one spot to another and only saw 3 dead deer , ive driven through PA and could not believe the carnage on the highway , there is no way you could count all the red spots on the road , i never saw anything like it.

I hit a beautiful typical ten on I-40 somewhere in Tennessee. Had been in North Carolina picking up six Quarter Midget chassis' for my brother in law. Driving his Duramax and pulling a 37' enclosed trailer. I'm on I-40 and it's probably 2300, going up a hill, I pass a semi. At the top of the hill, he flashes his lights to let me know I'm clear to come back over in the right lane. I'm pulling right as I crest the hill, drop my lights in a signal of appreciation. As my headlights come back on, I see the ass of this buck running directly down the center of the right lane Westbound. I know better than to swerve, but I'm trying to ease this rig back left, nope, hit him right in the ass with the passenger headlight flipping him ass over tea kettle. Stopped to assess the damage and really it didn't look that bad, just the plastic headlight cover. Or so I thought, then I looked up and saw that he had caved in the passenger corner of the trailer. I carried around the left side of his rack for years.

Man, James.
I had a very pregnant woman in the right seat, and we were headed to a cousin's place.
I was in a mustang , hers and a doe ran across the road and I immediately slowed knowing deer, but couldn't get woahed enough for the little fawn.

Dammit! But, damn!

My wife flipped out when I considered bringing it to Mike's for dinner. Waaaaay, it's a baby waaaa!
A guy stopped behind me and asked how things were, I said you want the best venison you ever ate?

He said "yes sir, if you ain't taking it ". I still give her shit about that kne.

I try and take a 2.5 year doe early in the season and then try and hunt a buck the rest of archery season ,once gun season is open then all bets are off ,it just becomes a game of who can get lucky and be in the right place at the right time.

Living in North Carolina is what got me in to archery. Bow season is a full three months before gun season, that only lasted two weeks. To spend more time in the woods, I bought a bow. In NC you could get a Buck, a Spike, and four Does. If you filled all your Doe tags, you just asked for more and they gave them to you!

First time I had one close in under the stand, my adrenaline spiked, and I really lost interest in gun hunting.

I can put a dozen arrows on a pie plate @ 70 yards, but don't ask me to go 80, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn! Somewhere in another thread I saw somebody talking about Whisker Biscuits. I threw mine away after seeing what it did to my accuracy at 40 yards and went back to a trivane dropaway.

Of all the stuff I've done for excitement in my life nothing has matched the adrenalin dump of bow hunting for me , I've had back cramps and uncontrollable shaking after a shot . I'm terrified to put a bad shot on a deer ,the pressure one puts on themselves is unbelievable . Then you get to track, field dress , drag and hopefully celebrate with your buddies back at camp. I love seeing the freezer full of meat that i know what wasn't F-d with by people

Update on "Bruiser".

Last night I was pedaling my butt through the Greenbelt and came across six or seven does in a clearing and thought, "Weird for them to be here without a buck around"........................

...............................around the corner and ol' big boy is blowing at me. Stopped about 20 feet away and he was bouncing his rack at me and grunting! I'm going to wander out today and try to get some GoPro footage of him.
