long time bevor I bought a Moto Villa 380. is a Italian bike. maybe some of you know Walter Villa, he rode HD / Aermacchi on street GP. later he produce Street-, MX- and other offroad bikes.
this thing was in good conditions, plastics, shocks and the carb was missing. of course, need a bit work, but not a big deal. I think.
but after months i cant find spareparts. so the bike moved in a corner and wait for better days.
but later.......

That looks like a very worthwhile project to me. Especially if you want it to be period correct and a rideable PV bike, rather than an absolute perfect restoration.
Good luck with it and post pics as you make progress .

the bike is now running, just want show you some pics :-)
there is an original:
The Shop
good luck with it!
I think the designers raked out bikes so they wouldn't shake their heads. Later to discover it was more about swingarm length and CG.
So, you're just teasing us, huh??
OK, I'm hooked. Waiting patiently for the rest of the story.
the engine is a MotoVilla engine. very heavy, but very strong build. the aluminium side-covers are nearly 8mm thick :-( . maybe build for another worldwar :-)
stay right now in a hotel and have a poor internet connection. can´t post more pics now. try later

The bike looks like it has a lot of suspension travel for a 1977.
Pit Row
very lucky to find a new set of Akront rims on ebay
Also, It looks like the motor uses a flat-top piston. Is this true or an optical illusion? Cool bike and great looking restoration!
thank´s for statements. always like to hear if you like it or not. the shocks are original Corte&Cosso. lenght are around 370mm. not sure there are in the right lenght, but the bike feel very comfortable. think in this days there was many companys in italy who use this shocks. also Maico did.I find a webshop in italy for all spareparts.
the piston is a one ring flap top. is a original Villa spare part.
later I will post more pics. the bad news are that I lost many pics from my bikes if my old laptop are blowed up. but still find pics from my bikes in the internet :-)
I believe my '80 VF 414 Montesa came with Corte & Cosso shocks. No one that I knew of knew anything about them and they were stiff as a 2 x 4 board. I went with Works Performance and 30 + years later, they're still on the bike.
I'd be interested in learning if you got them to work properly, or not.
Again, thanks for posting.
