1992-96 Honda CR250 Pro Circuit silencer refresh

This silencer came in a box of parts when I bought a 96 CR250 a few years ago. These period correct silencers are pretty hard to come by now, so I figured it was worth a refresh. Here it is after I welded the broken core.
Pro circuit was kind enough to send me a new decal

I repacked the core and assembled it. Then used a flat file to remove little imperfections and burs. Then hand sanded the aluminum with 220,320 & 400 grit.

The can was getting shinny but not the finish I was looking for...I pulled the original decal off to see what the original finish looked like. ........ a brushed finish...

So I walk it over to my bench grinder, which has a brass wire brush attachment. I hit a test spot.... excellent reproduction of the factory finish from PC. So I get a small brass wire brush on my drill and do the entire can, very pleased with the out come.

Decal came straight from PC, blow up photo showing decal in the bag, part # is on the bag. End cap, maybe harder to come by, mine had the end cap already. I would bet end caps from this era were all the same, maybe buy a silencer from any model, that has a decent end cap....

Thank you I saw the decal on the Pc website.i have a new end cap for a Paul turner fatboy silencer ,I just don’t have my pc silencer local to see if it will fit..

Sandman next time your out in the garage could you take a measurement of the diameter?im curious if the fatboy tip I have would work..thank you...

I´m still searching for pc silencer with a stinger end cap for my CR 250 from 92! Anybody has such a silencer for sale?!
