I looked at it more yesterday. It's junk, there are some cracks in the tin so at some point it will come apart if I ran it as is. Oh well I guess a quick refresh isn't in the cards on this one.

I did learn the piston is a stock Honda. The few pictures I've seen of Honda pistons they have the word ART cast in them in about the same spot.

Bike looks awesome and I'm sure it will be a great weapon to beat up on some modern 4strokes. Smile

Are you planning to bring it to rewind this year?

Looks like it was built for these bikes. Very nice fit and I love how it has the notch that matches the footpeg. Does it stay stowed and locked away? Did you modify it for the ball detent to hold it stowed? I might have to do the same to my bike.

We had conversed about it in another post. It is a KTM Kickstarter from a last generation 250/300 up to 2016. It fits onto the Honda splined Knuckle. Here is a copy of what I originally posted for him to get the info.

I looked on Hammerhead's site to find a KTM one that looked the same. Here it is. http://www.hdmoto.com/product_p/70-0563.htm

It does all look like it would work well. I am curious if it actually fits the kickstarter spline on the Honda or you have to swap it to the Honda knuckle as I believe I had heard.
Now another question. Anyone know of a good fitting option for a brake pedal to fit these bikes? I am working on mine to machine and install a bushing and new tip as the ones I have are just beat. I would like to find a good option to fit a nice factory or aftermarket brake lever. That Australian bike in the picture above has a Hammerhead brake lever as well but he had never mentioned what the application was from.

Here is a link to that Hammerhead kickstarter http://www.hdmoto.com/product_p/70-0563.htm. Also, here is a link to the other thread that Wolfy0067 postedhttp://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Old-School-Moto,22/1988-Honda-CR250-upgra…

Picked up a little project the other day, someone really hacked this kicker up, the splined pivot was welded and never turned down the kicker was so out of tolerance, was luck to get this on operational, in the end it came out pretty good, due to it being some out of round I need to trim the bend in the kicker to clear the frame down tube.
