83 Honda CR250 front forks. Anyone know what these internals are out of? Are they an aftermarket kit? The dark tube has a valve in the bottom and the silver one does also. The stock cartridge bolt has been cut off. The dark tube has notches to raise or lower spring height. The silver one sits like a regular damper rod and the dark one slides into the top creating two seperate chambers.
Just as a warning, if you do a search for "Simons Anti-Cavitator," you'll come across a website. The guy running it bought the copyright to these terms. STAY FAR AWAY from him.. Search the scam section of Mark's Vintage Website for a complete run-down of this person, Don Mendenhall, and Caveat Emptor if you decide to patronize his shop.
From Sandman768 in another thred..
"Whatever you do, DONOT deal with a website "back in the day" the owner, don, is a crook! i sent him my crank for him to rebuild, never saw it again.... i had Ca dept of motor vehicles investigate him, the investigator called me & said he has numorous complaints & does not even have a shop, the investigator scared him into sending my crank back, but it was not my crank, nor was it for a 79 yz 400. hard lesson learned."
