in addition to the Cooper tribute 1990 RM125 I built this one-off 76 Honda CR125 and 83 Works replica CR250. The CR125 also has a billet aluminum air box, Moto-X-Fox exhaust, DG head, 32MM Mikuni, Sun rims with arched brakes, X-Cross up swing arm, Simons forks and RC replica fuel tank with one-off decals, fat bars and wide pegs!

The swing arm is a true X-Cross UP. i modified the swing arm by cutting off the other two shock mounts (there were 3). I did this as I have another similar swing arm with three shock mounts on another bike and shocks got caught up on the swing arm and binded which resulted in a bent shock shaft and bent swing arm. Another buddy of mine had the same problem (shocks got caught in the swing arm and binded and he almost broke his neck. I plan to race this bike so i cut the other two shock mounts off (better safe than sorry). The bike also has a mottoes CDI. I have also attached some additional photos as requested.

Really nice bike and even more awesome it's a race bike!

A few questions. What kind of shifter is that? I would love to put something besides the stock one on mine. Also, what kind of ignition setup do you have?

I have a couple of those Cross-Up arms but yet to use one. What is your chain guard on the pivot of the swingarm off of? I've used KX85's before.

Cool bikes. I have raced an 83 CR250 the last 2 years I think 16 times - great bike. What pipe is that? Do you notice a difference with that swingarm? What type of radiators are those?

The 76 is awesome - I don't recall that pipe but I am curious - doesn't it make your foot hot? Thanks

The ignition is Mototek CDI (see photo). The shifter came off my 1980 YZ125G (presently putting a 175 top end on it and wasn't using the shifter). The chain tensioner is Pro Tec (there is a guy selling knock off's on ebay right now).

The pipe on the 83 is Vintage iron (I have two of them so I took picture of a new one). The swing arm on the 83 is replica of the works coke bottle arm. I image it's a bit lighter than the stocker and slightly longer. I am no expert on these swing arms, but there are differences and that is why Honda used them. Eventually the technology of the stockers caught up with them and they went away. You can buy the radiators on ebay for around $250.00. A couple of years ago there was a guy in China making radiators for the 87 CR250 so on a hunch I asked him if he made them for the 83 CR250 and he said no, but he asked me to send him a couple of pictures of my radiators from differing angles and a couple of weeks later he had them made. They are slightly larger than the stockers (increased cooling capacity) and they look way cool.

Few people know about the exhaust on the 76 CR125. I actually had this exhaust on a 76 CR125 I rode back in the day. This is a Protopipe, which Moto-X-Fox rebadged (this was common place back in the day, for instance, Thor swing arms made the majority of the swing arms back in the day, however companies like FMF, DG, etc.., rebadged them and sold them under their company names). The exhaust does not get hot, but it does a great job of lubing your chain :+)
