Revell Model Kit-Who is the Rider?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, and really like what I see here. I was racing at Indian Dunes, Saddleback, and Carlsbad back in the 70's. Nowadays, one of my interests is in scale model kits of dirt bikes. Can anyone tell me who the rider is depicted in the box art for this Revell 1:12 scale Yamaha 250 MX? The kit is copyright 1973. I could be wrong, due to severe memory fade, but at one point I may have heard that this is Rich Thorwaldson or Mark Blackwell. Any information on this picture is appreciated. Thanks.

Murray Hoffman,ElCajon,CA. Rode for Don Vesco mainly road race and flat track but was very good at motocross.

Gas tank shape and logo is from '73 or '74, ......Maybe DeWayne Jones.
His brother Gary was on a Honda by that time.

My grandma found this model kit at a resale shop (I think) and bought it for me in the late 80s, before I even discovered my love for motorcycles. I never put it together, and it might even be stored away somewhere in my parents house still.
