So I got a 93 RM125 for $700. I just liked how original it was. Needs some work, but it ran and is very complete. I don't like 125's, but they are great learner bikes and fun to play on...plus I might actually get the wife to ride this one.

It has a PC silencer and stock pipe, but came with a stock silencer and this PC pipe. All items in great condition, but the pipe is "works" and rusted over pretty good. I spent about 2 minutes sanding on a patch with fine grit and it looks like its going to clean up really well. But what do you guys recommend for a nice finish? I hear of people using WD40 and torquing the pipe to blue it and make it look cool? I have no experience here.

For the pipe, I suggest the following:
1. Wet sand until you reach the desired finish/shine.
2. Use CLR cleaner or similar acid to brighten the pipe. (NOTE: Sometimes scotchbrite and acid is all you need)
3. Rinse with water and immediately spray with WD-40- wiping off excess.
4. Blue the welds with a fine to medium tip MAP torch or equivalent.
5. Clean/prep pipe with rubbing alcohol or brake cleaner.
6. Coat the entire pipe with a high temp "flame proof" clear coat.
