Crf 250 and 450 valve shims

Edited Date/Time 6/26/2021 5:52pm
Hi guys, so I just recently sold a 2006 crf250r and picked up a 2009 crf450r. I have a shim kit for the 250 that states the shims fit "crf250x, crf250r and 450's" does anyone know if I can use these shims in my new bike? Thanks

Most 250's have a smaller dia. shim that the 450's. They only make 2 sizes.
You can check on line with almost any moto parts supplier and find the dia. of what you need and then compare to what you have.
I think the 250 shims you have should measure 7.48mm and the shims that you will need for the 450 are 9.48mm.
So I would say , no they will not work.

If you’re in San Diego North County I have a complete set of shims that will fit a 450 Honda, I sold my 450 and forgot I had them I think I paid $90 for the SET. They are the
9.48 size that fit the CRF450.
The size on my new Husqvarna is completely different so I can’t use them.

I would sell them for $45, plus shipping. You guys would have to tell me how to go about it. I’m an old guy, not real swift on the computer. But that would be helpful they paid form. And it’s a complete set, you can check it out online at hot camsIf you want to verify that they will fit your bike, although I’m sure they will.
