F1moto commissioned Europe's leading 2 stroke performance parts manufacturer VHM to manufacture this unique KTM85/105cc high inertia stroker crank. The crank is CAE designed to minimise stress and achieve optimal balance and inertia.
This is a new product not a genuine unit modified. Many modified cranks are incorrectly balanced & manufactured using cheaper crankshaft as the base material.
VHM crankshafts are made of high quality steel which has undergone custom heat treatment which makes the crankshaft stiffer and resistant to bending.
Utilizing a PROX racing con rod for added strength - combined with the quality of all VHM products to give a durable and hard wearing crank.
The cranks webs are CNC machined and ground to precise dimensions which results in a much longer performance and the crankshaft can also be overhauled many times.
A crankshaft with a higher inertia reacts slower, but carries speed further. When the engine is very hard to handle and has a narrow power band, then a crankshaft with a higher inertia will give better performance on the track. The power delivery from the engine to the ground will be transferred more smoothly. The power delivery is much more controlable.
This crankshaft can be used with a standard KTM85 cylinder to give 91.5cc or combined with the KTM105 cc Kit to make a true super mini of 112cc.
