Scotts Steering Damper - High speed valve initial setting?

Does anyone know the initial setting for the high speed valve on a Scotts steering damper? The Scotts manual says its set at the factory and can be adjusted. It doesn't mention an initial setting to start with though. I got my damper used and fiddled with the setting before I even knew what it was for so the setting is way off probably. I am wondering how many turns out to start with.
