Anyone that has any info please help. I’m aware I may have to respring or revalve to make it work. I am also aware I will need things like the front wheel, axle and so on. I do have the 05 front end right now if that makes a difference in being able to help me with information. I don’t mind having to get the clamps bored I’m more concerned about if it worked well and if anything had to be cut? Thanks in advance

If you swap the stem you can use whatever year complete front end you like.. I did a 2017 rmz450 tac front end on my 02 rm125

The 05 showas are really good. The rmz shock wont be any better since its the same design with the comp adjuster moved.

2005 forks are really good also, but the airfork is cool upgrade I would imagine

That's sick. We have a 16 tac on 03 kx250, and she's a killer.

I love the 05 stuff. Just thinking about options on the rebuild I’m doing. That’s the shock info I was looking for actually, I want to use the air forks but wasn’t sure if I had to swap shocks as well.

You pressed the 02 stem into the 2017 clamps?

Also, how / where does the steering stop contact the frame? Any mods there needed to make it work? Have any pics of something you've swapped? Thanks for any help!

I assumed I would have to make stops or have my clamps machined to fit the forks.

If you don't mind boring the clamps, you can fit any suspension to your RM.
Useful info: older (06+) yamaha used the same diameter axle, as does Kawasaki, therefore no new front wheel required. Custom spacers only..
Opens up a ton of options, including KYB SSS. Mine was a PITA but I was very stubborn about using 2016 RMZ Xtrigs.

Could you post a few detail pics of how the steering stops are set up with the newer/aluminum frame clamp set?

2016 RMZ 250 KYB shock. KXF shocks work on RMs too.

I have my RM125 suspension for sale. It's a KYB PSF2 fork of a RMZ250 and a stock Showa RM shock (looks like an A-Kit). Both components have 2 hours from new and are in perfect condition. Check my profile to see the Suspension of my RM125.

About $550 + shipping. I send you photos via mail.
Bought them all new from Suzuki spare parts and payed around 900€. Also have a modified stock triple clamp for sale which fits the RM frame.

I know this is an old post, but could you give some more details on the conversion? I purchased 2017 RMZ 450 forks and shock from eBay to retrofit to my 2001 RM 250. Any information would be appreciated.
