Well, the time has come to sell my 2007 Honda CR 250r. Having rode the bike a TOTAL of 3 times since I finished building it 3 years ago (2 times in the fall of ’13, 1 time in the fall of ’14, and ZERO time on it in ’15), I just think it’s time for someone else to really ride this thing to its potential. As you may have followed the build thread from several years back, you might already know that this bike has had NOTHING left behind on the build. Read through all 9 pages of the thread link below and you will see what kind of money and time went into this thing…A LOT of both!
A couple key things:
• Motor was COMPLETELY gone through, top to bottom, by Jay Hall at Hall’s Cycles in Springfield Illinois (yes….THAT Jay Hall….he’s good, REAL good!). Everything in the motor has been done that needs to be done as far as squish set, cylinder decked off, some porting, new rod, new piston/rings, etc. As mentioned above, the bike has only been ridden 3 times since the motor was put back together…always ran with 100 octane fuel mixed w/ Maxima Castor 927 (gotta love that smell!). The only oil that has been used has been full synthetic Maxima which was changed after the first ride on the bike….so current oil has 2 rides on it. Always been cooled with Engine Ice from the beginning.
• Suspension is the REAL DEAL/NO PRETEND Showa Pro Circuit A-Kit suspension. Some people like to think some coatings and anodized black fork lugs qualify a set of suspension to be A-Kit quality….this IS true A-Kit quality. 49mm forks, BILLET fork lugs, Pro Circuit A-Kit Triple Clamps (of course with ALL Ti hardware), 18mm shock, etc. I purchased this set used, was in damn good condition when I bought it, then immediately shipped off to Pro Circuit for the “full monty” rebuild. I’m embarrassed to say, but the left fork does have a leaking fork seal…that’s what I get for not riding it . I’ll buy and throw in a set of 49mm SKF fork seals to the buyer if interested.
• Hardware – Bike is outfitted top to bottom with Titanium hardware. Bike DOES have Ti linkage bolts and swingarm bolts but DOES NOT have Ti axles nor does it have a Ti shock spring (those two options aren’t Ti on purpose…just my opinion not wanting them to be Ti).
• Parts – Some parts on the bike include Talon Carbon hubs, Excel A60 rims, Scalvini pipe w/ carbon Scalvini silencer, Ride Engineering front caliper, Motostuff 280mm rotor kit, power valve/clutch/ignition carbon fiber covers, Cycra CRF front fender and stadium plate, Loudmouth intake kit, Raptor Ti footpegs, Lectron carb, and the list goes on and on.
So the question is how much am I asking for the bike. Yes, I’m gonna be one of those guys and say the ever popular “I don’t need to sell it….I haven’t fallen on hard times and needing cash….I’m more than willing to continue letting it sit in my garage and look good there”. I’m asking $9,000 for the bike…and no I don’t want to trade for anything. Open to REASONABLE offers...no, $6k won't buy you this bike, sorry. If you know what you’re looking at as far as parts are concerned, you’ll see that my asking price isn’t out of line. Again, not in a rush to sell it and I don’t’ want to trade for anything. Thanks!

SUCKER ?
If you knew what you were looking at, the would make more sense to you.
OP- good luck with the sale and I'm sure it'll sell soon. They don't sell these bikes any longer and there are not too many like yours available to buy. Very nice build and attention to detail. Wish I had more room in my garage, there are a few bikes for sale on this site that I'd like to have.
