I had an 87 and 88, and neither of mine ever looked that good. Brings back a lot of memories, but my 1990 RM80 was a way better bike - power valve, rear disc, more and better suspension...normal-ass hubs that didn't shatter like a lightbulb. We were a Yamaha family from my father's DT250 on, so I will always have a soft spot for these.
I am loving your restored 80s posts. Are the motors rebuilt to stock specs, or?
Wow- incredible build!
This build brought up some great memories. That model was my first race bike. The summers in New Mexico we all raced in t-shirts, haha
271 is pinning it🤘
The Shop
that was me, easy to get a holey there when you gate next to the farmer dropping it, haha
