80’s Supercross track that went into the stands

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. There was a round in the series one year in the 80’s (I want to say early 80’s) that had a track that went into the grandstands. I know there was Pontiac and the L.A. Coliseum but this one was different. The track layout went up into the stands, had a right hand turn, then a lane that went straight behind a section of seats, and then took another right to go back down onto the floor. They called it “Wrangler alley” or something and there was a rhythm section on the straight behind the seats. I want to say a it was Kansas City but could be totally wrong and it was just a different configuration of Pontiac one year besides going straight up and then turning around to come straight back down. I had found a clip of it on YouTube a year or so ago but haven’t been able to find it again. Does anyone know or remember which round and year this was? Maybe could help me find that video on YouTube again? Thanks!

1982! Just found the clip that easily now that gave me the location. Thank you! Here’s the YouTube link if you want to check it out. Pretty wild concept for only the 8th year into the sport. It’s one thing to go up into the stands but to then go behind a section where fans were sitting. There’s no way they’d do something like that these days.

Honda Hotdog pit stop. Is this how the “Dogger” Lechien, earned his name. 🥃

Just looked it up. Seattle 1988. A smaller version of what they’d do in Pontiac. More in line with what they did in Detroit in ‘17 and ‘18. Still a cool thing to do with the track nonetheless. I also like what they did in 1994 at Las Vegas when they used 40 ft. truck beds as ramps to go up and over the football team locker rooms for a small section outside of the stadium. They just don’t do things like that with the tracks anymore.
