Finally see the graphics!!! Stanton was on a production bike.
Surely some cameramen got some great pics
Living under a rock?
Not crazy about the black plastic but the yellow looks pretty good on it
The Shop
Did Stanton’s bike have the monster graphics too? Hoping it’s just a personal RC kit.
Kinda lame, or much show. One thing about it…….won’t be long we’ll have a long thread about guys that paid full boat up front wondering when deliver will be.
I would guess that Stanton is on a bike with production decals and RC is on the race team replica.
I figured the black we saw before was early version, not final. Graphics were different on each one. I’m not sure they are going to do that much plain black when it’s come out for real. . Maybe some satin black with some flash colors. I doubt will all the wild colors for 24, doubt it will have a black seat but who knows.
Head pipes look different.
I figured it would end up being Triumph yellow, at least that’s what I call it. Back in the 90’s I was at a Polaris dealer picking up a new ATV getting ready for hunting season. They were also a Triumph dealer. They had Triumph sport bike that was a wicked yellow. In fact I painted an SCCA car I was building close to the same yellow as I could get, got close.
I can’t wait till some test riders get their hands on one of these and do a review.
Caught that myself just now... Good eye.
Those things sounded horrible in the stadium. It was off putting. Sounded like they had a coke can for an exhaust.
Keefer was in Europe (I think it was the week before Washougal) testing something he can't talk about "yet"...
I was thinking he might be helping them with some production settings.
Hopefully he can talk about riding a Triumph soon.
Maybe one was supposed to be a 350 or 450 - with the white plates being the giveaway
Stanton’s was a TF250X.
Not sure if that’s what the motocrosser will be called or if they’re doing an X model along with the moto bike. Could explain possible differences.
Looks better in this pic. Not bad, be interesting to see how the tests/ reviews go. Chances are it will be solid. Many years of trial and error development to copy.
Pit Row
Why do you want them to fail?
I don’t want them to fail………that was all for being a little cynical at times on my part.
That is a sweet looking bike.I wonder what the price tag is for it ?
Not surprised at the thought of Keefer doing testing and set-up work at Triumph, especially with RC’s influence.
Please tell me “Fight The Good Fight” was blasting as they came out….![5E5C43D6-FE13-4EE0-9CDF-708C8EFEDFBB.jpeg?VersionId= 9jU82Jho NdHcpZGqjSB0](https://p.vitalmx.com/styles/s1200/s3/photos/inline/basic/5E5C43D6-FE13-4EE0-9CDF-708C8EFEDFBB.jpeg?VersionId=_9jU82Jho_NdHcpZGqjSB0.Z2Zu480bc&itok=FMOt0Y8z)
I’d guess and it’s just a guess it will be competitive with Yamaha/Honda first rattle out of the box. Triumph is a well known name, but not a current name for a scooter with dirt on it. I’d guess the units they have going to dealers they want to move fairly quickly.
Another interesting part aside from pricing will be dealer support. A fair amount of Triumph dealers per my understanding are stand alone shops that have only had to focus on pavement and not dirt. If not may be a Polaris dealer for example that also sells Triumph. Could be a learning curve for some shops. Maybe not mechanical, but suspension etc. I do think in the end Triumph will do well with MX unless they are boutique priced.
Triumph has been in the motorbike market quite a long time. I have no doubt that they realize what the market will bear as far as pricing . Hope Ducati is watching very closely !
Still a better sound than an electric motor! Cool to see another brand in the game to help keep this great sport moving forward!
I agree on seeing other brands and hope they do well. Be interesting to see what Ducati does.
I agree! Wait until they start mounting speaker boxes to the electric bikes for an engine sound. That’ll be the day
And they are annoyingly loud.
To each their own. I thought it sounded bad ass when Ricky hit it to step up into the peristyle, but hey, please carry on with the negativity of a new dirtbike on the market.
