The tax man don’t care who you are, he wants his share.

Isn’t it ironic the same party that is always telling us we need to pay our fair share, is lead by a guy whose son did not file/pay taxes.

I am suspect of the timing on this. I think it’s a distraction and timed to interfere with his subpoena to testify in congress. This will keep the heat off of dementia man.

And he’ll never spend a day in prison.

Well they definitely left out the Foreign Agent Registration Act or FARA stuff that would implicate “The Big Guy” and more importantly the big “O” but by all accounts these indictments do have some teeth.  It’s possible that Hunta is being held up as the sacrificial lamb.  Time will tell.

I truly believe that ALL our politicians are crooked and corrupt at least to some degree.  I don't think it's even possible to get in the game without tossing ethics out the window.

If Biden had any morals at all... he'd lead Hunter to court by the ear and let justice take it's course.  Hard decision by a father but he accepted a higher obligation to the country by becoming president.

Every service member accepted that obligation and duty.  He is the head of our services...lead by example.

I don't expect him or ANY other politician to do the right thing.  The "right" thing usually isn't profitable in money terms.

As I get older,  I find that the blind trust of govt and organized religion I was taught in my youth have betrayed us.

I remember when we were winning against Russia...and they said..."We will destroy you from the inside".  Masters at chess and the long game...they may have been right.

My military service taught me more than a trade and responsibility...it taught me humility and faith in my fellow Americans.  Black, white, brown, and yellow.  So much diversity and conflict stripped away.  One mission...one objective...a team.  It is possible...I have seen it work.

Sorry for the rant.  I only wish for a UNITED states and nation.  For our survival and future.

Be honest. If he had illegally avoided paying taxes he’d of been charged. Using the laws on the books to one’s advantage is what every great business man does. That’s a lot different than not filing taxes. IMG 1631 2.jpeg?VersionId=uL6i8p

You are absolutely right! Using accountants and lawyers to look for legal loopholes to lower your tax burden is EXACTLY the same as not declaring the bribe money you got from China…

In your mind.

This one has me conflicted. The part of me that knows how corrupt that family is thinks, good, I hope he rots in prison. But the Libertarian in me is thinking, fuck the IRS, it's not their money.

Agree

And now Hunter gets indicted in California right before he goes in front of James Comer's House Committee

The really sad thing is that out of 350+ million people those two clowns are the only options.

Glass houses I guess, Justin and Pierre are no better up here.

Now, it seems The Supremes are gonna decide how much The Prosecution can go after The Donald as it regards those things that they're going after him for doing while he was President.

Time to go get the popcorn!

SHOULD be a contempt charge added for not showing up for deposition before the congressional committee but we’ll see if that  happens…or not.

Could be wrong on this but, I think you need the justice dept to follow up on that. Not sure congress really has any teeth if Justice refuses to do anything. If anyone knows for sure please let us know.

In most cases that's correct. The difference is that the subpoena came from the Oversight Commitee, which has independent subpoena authority.  Simply put, he's in flagrant contempt of Congress.  What they wish to do about it is up to them.

But I don't think congress has any mechanism to enforce a subpoena no matter who issued it. I'm not that knowledgeable on the matter but I think they then send it to Justice who would/should prosecute. But as with Eric Holder, nothing will become of it. Hope I'm wrong.

You're right I got a little off track. The charges have to come from the DOJ.  And you're right again, the DOJ often doesn't bring charges on the committee's recommendation.  Especially with this GOP majority.

DOJ went after Steve Bannon hard. He got convicted of not responding to the J6 subpoena and was sentenced to 4 months. It's under appeal. I don't see how the appellate court can uphold his sentence if they don't go after Hunter.

I'll say it once again, "what about Jim Jordon?"

A lot of selective memories here.

Ae we talking the same Jim Jordan that Nancy would not let on the committee? The committee that altered evidence? The committee that cherry picked what they wanted said in public? The committee that hid anything that didn't fit their narrative? The committee that destroyed evidence that didn't fit their narrative? How did that go for that Dem Liz? You know the one, the one that pretended to be a republican and got her ass handed to her in the next election because everyone who she was supposed to represent knew she went off the rails. The anti-Trump congressional fraternity? How about you come up with something that is legitimate? You guys have the best conspiracy theories. Please post some more, we need a good laugh.
