1) PURPLE IS THE NEW BLACK

Yamaha’s 50th-anniversary bikes have been very popular this year. We made our own limited edition purple triple clamps in the very popular 23.5mm offset for the YZ125, YZ250, YZ250F & YZ450F. In stock at ride-engineering.com.

2) 2024 YZ450 23.5MM OFFSET TRIPLE CLAMPS - RRX Garage Tested Video

When your job is to test motorcycles and motorcycle accessories then write about it or make a video, you need a lot of help maintaining and working on your machines. Keefer Inc Testing relies on Eddie Laret to keep the “wheels turning” and in return Eddie get’s to build his own cool project bikes with products that work for him. Sometimes its nice to get another perspective from a “regular joe” (a 6’2”, larger, vet intermediate rider) since a lot of our customers are not pros but more like Eddie. Check out his thoughts as he and Keefer discuss what products made this bike one of his favorites. Video

3) KEEFER TESTED: 2024-2025 KX450

TRIPLE CLAMPS – VERSION E

The Ride Eng. stock offset split triple clamps improve handling and tracking – Kris Keefer. Watch the video as Kris and I discuss the details of what goes into triple clamp development. He rides the bike with stock clamps initially, then two motos on our triple clamp/bar mount combo, then back to stock. Riders, it’s very important go back to where you started to truly feel the positives (or negatives) of the part you’re testing.

4) BEST SELLER: RIDE ENGINEERING ONE-PIECE BAR MOUNT & POLY CONES

Our billet bar mount is one of our best-selling products. For $109.95 you get a very high-end product that resists twisting much better than the two separate bar mounts that come stock on your bike. The posts are removeable and replaceable as they are designed to bend in a crash before your bars do. For 2022 and older KTM/HUSQ/GAS models, this bar mount is much stronger than the OEM one-piece design. For 2023+ KTM/HUSQ/GAS models, our bar mount is less rigid than stock providing more comfort. It will also bend before the bars do. Using Ride Engineering’s YOU CRASH/YOU SAVE program, return the bent bar mount to us and get 45% off a new one. This offer applies to our triple clamps and links as well.

All Ride Eng bar mounts have a +/- 3mm offset, you can customize your bar position with our optional offset bases ($39.95) that come in 6mm and 10mm sizes. All bar mounts are within 2mm of stock, use our 5mm and 10mm spacer kits if raising the bars is what your after.

Finally, don’t forget about Ride Eng.’s polyurethane cone kits. For $29.95 they are more durable and easier to install/remove than the OEM rubber cones. Red cones are 25% stiffer than stock, yellow about 10% stiffer. Both do a great job in vibration absorption while reducing bar mount movement.

5) FULLY MODIFIED 2023 YZ250

In the July issue of Motocross Action Mag you can take another look at all the products we offer for YZ125s & YZ250s from 2005-2024 in the TWO STROKE BONANZA article. You can also hear this puppy sing in this video here. Steve Christiano’s machine got a custom silver set of rubber mounted 23.5mm offset split triple clamps with our soft poly cones and one-piece bar mount for improved handling and comfort. He improved braking power and control with Ride Eng braided steel brake lines front and rear mated to our billet front brake caliper using a 2024 CRF450r front master cylinder which is required to “push” the over-sized pistons inside. Building a complete front brake system like this allows the OEM brake to be set aside and then reinstalled later when the bike is sold. The Ride Eng system can then be installed on a new Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS, Beta or Suzuki. You will notice improved brake performance on any of these machines.

Steve also used our performance link to keep the explosive 2-stroke power from the Twisted Development tuned engine driving the motorcycle forward instead of braking traction with side-to-side movement.
