Monster Energy’s Ryan Villopoto grabbed his first win of the season and the 25th 450SX win of his career at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. Chad Reed also broke through his fourth-place streak by racing his way to the podium in third.

After dominating the practice sessions, Villopoto earned a wire-to-wire heat-race victory. He continued his winning momentum into the main event and eventually took the checkered flag by nearly seven seconds. Villopoto now sits fourth in the points standings.

Reed has been quietly earning fourth-place finishes at the first two rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross season, but came out with a fire during the main event in Anaheim. He came through the pack to end up with his first podium finish of the season. Reed now sits third in the points standings.

Continuing to show his aggressiveness, Weimer clawed his way back into qualifying position in his heat race. With a tough gate pick, Weimer grabbed his first holeshot of the season and led the opening lap, eventually finishing fifth.

In the Western Regional 250SX class, Martin Davalos was on the receiving end of some bad luck. After a third-place finish in the heat race, Davalos was held up in a first-lap pile up, starting the main event in 16th. He used the entire 15-lap race to finish 12th.

Tyla Rattray remained persistent in the 250SX class, earning another result inside the top 10. He is holding onto sixth in the points standings.
