Funny how folks think that late 20s is old for motocross.  If you looks at most sports most athletes peak in their late 20s early 30s and it's often injuries that drive them to retirement at earlier ages.  Your brain/muscle memory continues to develop well into your 30s which is why you see some of the best athletes have long great careers.  I was probably my fastest in my mid 30s it wasn't till I was in my mid 40s that my eye sight and reaction times started to fall off and the recovery time significantly increased.
