Question of the week, 1)Should the promoters of supercross financials be exposed to the public, wouldn't that knowledge be beneficial? 2)Should riders still have to pay entry fees? 3) Should they explore options of spec tires to limit track deterioration? 4)Holeshot devices, starting grates, starting maps, is any of this good for the sport 5) Main question, with the field of riders in the 450 mains mostly factory riders with massive modifications to their bikes anyway isn't the production rule obsolete in the 450 class? If the rule was dropped, wouldn't it allow makers like Ducati, and Triumph into the class sooner and give a place to makers who can't fit into the homologation rule, say Fantic? If supercross is being promoted as a premier motorsport, isn't it time this rule is dropped for the 450 class and run prototypes with restrictions on noise, engine size, tire size, weight, and electronics (performance-based restrictions) and be like F1, MotoGP, MXGP, Dakar, or even TrialsGP other premier motorsports? Perhaps in response make the 250 class more production based? This is not to say all makers must compete on prototypes, they can still use production bikes, but that the race teams could use prototypes or production-based machines with performance-based restrictions on all machines rather than how they are produced restrictions as the rules are now.

Holeshot devices,  traction control, start maps, start blocks should be banned.  Factory guys don’t need the advantage and should be forced to race stock engines, while privateers should be allowed some bolt ons.  Bring on a spec tire for SX.  Eliminate the SX triple, make it into a 85ft ramp to big safe landing.  And no entry fees, pay these guys for the risks they take.  The 800th ranked golfer is making 800k a year for no risk.  End the Feld bureaucracy
