sorry Chad but i was never a fan of complaining about the bike…you get all week to practice and test whatever you want.  Unless your mechanic is giving you flats every race it’s your job to ride the wheels off of it.  But i do sympathize with times he was not up front and wished he was knowing he had the talent and effort to do so.

I was impressed how Stew pointed out some reasons for crashes even though Chase worked with him and thought genius riders can’t always explain stuff.  Plus Kellen Racexamination showed the video slow-mo footage.  Not sure if they set up the bike for Jett but supposedly technique overcomes setting barriers better to flow and not fight the bike if front heavy.  Some crashes just happened in bad spots to knife or swap or wash out if the dirt had a bad rut top riders just learn to watch out for.  I do believe the frame matters though and guess who started the aluminums that took a lot of work to figure out?  Some riders like Barcia just ride better on a standard frame and it shows in their confort level seemingly the same for Chase I predict as the true total package they predicted but that doesn’t mean he will beat everyone all the time or not crash like SX is not slot cars.

The 'blame the bike' narrative is boring. Mathis is correct that its always someone else's fault. Hard to blame the bike when your rookie teammate cleans up.

I never learned how to ride a 125 right so in my case I could blame the bike since there were certain things I wasn’t doing that made it not  function the way i saw other people ride. It didn’t matter what parts I had if I was letting the bike bog or not find good lines to keep my revs up or body position.  Thr 94 CR 125 was just really hard to ride where you were either in the power band out of control or nothing it seemed to me.
