^^^^ dont think so. There isn't enough rocks and the Cavity isn't cut into the earth like that. Its a natural ravine.

Roddy MacLeod's pic of Namur has to be in this thread.

Everytime i see a Namur pic i get goosebumps and watery eye's.

So bummed i never went to watch a GP there. The fact that i wil never see a GP at Namur really bothers me...

I stand corrected!

By the way, if i'm correct there are a few photographers in this thread. How does it feel when you see one of your awesome shots popping up here? And to see your shots being brought as a definition of the sport?

There was recently speculation that Namur might yet hold another GP!

I had always thought that this was one of the all time greatest holeshot pics but it turned out Snoopy was running a 144 in the 125 stock class. He was also doping.

Kurt Ljungqvist is the right spelling.

Was a factory Yamaha rider in 1988 (riding the infamous aluminium-framed factory YZM500), ending 6th in the championship.

It may be him on that picture, a couple years later, as a privateer.

Or possibly Dirk Geukens (who finished 9th in 1989, hence the number) ?

Definitely not Jeff Leisk.

Best thread ever that didn't have hot women in it. IMHO, the greatest MX picture must be a battle between at least two people, and it would be even cooler if it were amateurs racing on their own dime.

That being said, the picture of Stewie wanting to hear the crowd, like Hannah on the line in O.A.S.II, is my new desktop wallpaper, mad skills.

This is a great pic from the past. Earlier in this thread I had asked if anyone had this. I believe this was in Dirt Bike in 74. Thanks for sharing this one!

For sure it's not dilla', but I've always wanted to see a pic of this section of track to see where in the hell Jobe was going to land. Is he jumping some huge hole the other guys were going in and out of? Hard to imagine the landing of that jump.

Where was the Magoo shot taken? Is this Switzerland? Did anyone attend and have some stories? What was moto like back then? The pick just looks like a good time at the track with all those people there. Did the euro chicks get lose?

This is Georges Jobe jumping over Andre Malherbe at the Hawkstone GP. This was shot by Nick Haskell. Not a steep hill but a double jump.
