That's such an awesome way of putting it
It's the only way to explain just how badass he was. I'm only 32 and he always was my favorite rider. Ever since seeing him at the LA Coliseum jumping braking bumps while everyone else sat down and got bucked around. I said to my dad "that's how you do it"... then Jeremy came along and took the flow to the next level.

I was at San Jose in the early 90's when he almost won a supercross if I remember right. Someone took him out near the end, Dubach, Matasevich?

I was there too. Cooper had a couple memorable moments at San Jose:

Cooper/Matiasevich battling for 1st at the end of the Main in '91:
Video starts right before they both go down. Dubach goes on for his only SX win:

A few years later, Dubach took a few guys with him including Cooper and Matiasevich in '93:

Man i love that pic. Guy was just a madman. Just went for it every time he threw a leg over a bike. Was pretty awesome seeing him race in the kingdome and Washougal. Some great memories watching that guy ride. Was always just a cool dude!

I have always been amazed by the extreme frame one. Coop is a real pionner of freestyle, "speed and style". Sick whips anywhere and always the first to open some nice jumps (I.e Bercy triple 88). I am a big fan. He changed the way of riding and inspired a generation.

I don't have Facebook or anything like that, but if one of y'all do you should suggest to them to ride up Mt Magazine in Paris and also Mt Nebo in Dardanelle. They are both fun rides in western Arkansas. The lodge at mt magazine has a restaurant with an amazing view. Mt Nebo doesn't have a restaurant and their aren't any good places to eat in Dardanelle, but it's a hidden gem for all the twisties on the way up and the views are awesome. Oh, also Petit Jean in morrilton. They have a restaurant, lodge, cabins and awesome views too. Lots of history in there.
