Had Jeremy sign mine Saturday at A2, not in a hurry to get the correct front plate now.
Does anyone know where I can source a Works Connection CR250 skid plate from?
I know the 93's are still available but they don't fit the 95/96 frame as it's more flatter on the bottom rails.
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers Matt,
Does anyone know if a 1996 CR250 cylinder will fit on a 1993 CR250 bottom end ? Both year cylinders look identical but the Honda part numbers are different and the power valves have different Honda part numbers too. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, this is the combination (96 jug and PV/93 bottom end) that is on my '93.
Do you know if the power valves are physically different from the 93 to 96 model ? Honda lists different part numbers for them.
Yes, the Australian Works Connection importer just told me he has 2 coming in their next order due in 4 weeks and one is pre sold and the remaining one is available. You can contact them here and ask for Brad:

I am not sure. The bike was a trade that was put together with the parts from several CRs. (It's the bike in my avatar.) I would try to keep the same year cylinder and PV, but my understanding is that the cylinders/powervalves interchange '92-'01.

Can someone tell me the difference between the 95 and 96 cylinders? Is the PV parts the same and any major difference in porting?
thanks!

Only diff is porting. All the related parts interchange
Col, amazing work, you basically brought a poster dream to life, and got me to sell my CRF and hunt for a 96.(Which I finally found)
I'm so stoked - sent you some build pics just now.

now if one of you guys would just sell me a part or two...
This is an old comment, but hopefully this can help some guys out there.
Like all of you, I'd been looking for ages for a red cloth Renthal bar pad cover. Here's how I found one. Search eBay for "Renthal TRX Handlebars"
There are a ton of these handlebars still around, what tipped me off to their age is that many are polished (contrary to what some may believe, I'm pretty sure Renthal didn't "chrome" their bars, just did a high polish to get the chrome effect).
About once a week one will get listed with a red bar bad. Be sure to inspect it carefully with the close-up feature to verify that the pad is cloth-- some of these may have vinyl covers. But if the bar is shiny, that's pretty much a give-away.
I just got one, and while the cover needs to be professionally cleaned, it is indeed the period red Renthal cloth cover a lot of us have been looking for the final touch.

I was wondering what tyres McGrath used in his prime ('93-'96), were they Dunlop K490/K695? Obviously different compounds were used, but what Dunlop tyre could you safely say that MC ran?
Trying to find some NOS Dunlops for my 96.
Thanks guys
I'd figure any difference in the boot may well just be the internal volume on my steelie, as it's a good fit.
Have you checked part no's?
