Always loved this photo of the late Kenny Zahrt.
Also, I know I'm in the minority, but have always had an affinity for the early 80's KX's with the rear fender number plate.
The Shop
There's a classic pic of him doing a turn on a cliff face . From db mag in the 70s.
Just when I thought Vital couldn't be any dummer, it goes and does a thread like this....
And totally redeems itself
how is this the first time I've noticed this guy!? LOL
Thats a great pic, but to those who have never been there, no picture can do justice showing what Henry survived.
Looks like an 82 KX 250 . I had one , loved that bike .
Awesome pics in this thread, most if not all are stored in my memory already, but the three that popped into my head first when reading the thread title are these. Ironic that a pic of a euro ‘doubling’ (RIP Georges) makes my list, growing up myself at a time when Grand Prix riders weren’t exactly known for their jumping
Doug’s space shot, let Brock bye and the chicks ass grab
Marty Moates winning at the 1980 Carlsbad 500GP. My two favorites I took of him.
How about Dave Thorpe winning his second 500GP Championship at Luxembourg in 1986. It was unbelievable to be there to witness it in person. This one is at the top of my list of shots I have taken over the last 40 years or so.
Charlie Charlton Aldergrove British Columbia national mx championship race 1986. Promotor Walt Levy paid charlie to jump into this swamp hole for entertainment after trophy presentation.
How are we 4 pages deep and this one isn't posted
Talking iconic. That's what Namur was. He are a few I took in 85/86 just to show the different sides to the track.
Pit Row
I'm a real old school guy. I love from the 60s the most. Dave Bickers was one of my heroes. I didn't take these but I feel he deserves some love as the two time European Champion in the 250 class in 60 and 61 before it became a World Championship.
My 1961 Greeves MCS 250 Dave Bickers tribute bike I restored about 12 years ago.
This is me with my Greeves at the Steve McQueen Car and Bike show about ten years ago. I was sitting behind it and a guy walks up to me and says "You know why I like this bike" I said "no, why" He said "because Dave Bickers is my Father". It was Paul Bickers his son. I was floored. He was very humbled that somebody from America honored his Dad. It was a great day for both of us.
It didn't load my shot of my Greeves.
One of my all time favorites!
I came here for this photo
