TCX debuted an all-new top-of-the-line boot at the show, the Comp Evo Michelin.
The word's "Michelin" in the title are as you might guess, related to the famous tire maker, as they have partnered with TCX on the sole construction.
Here's a shot of the Michelin-based sole removed from the boot, revealing the steel shank. Interestingly enough, the sole designs that Michelin are designing for TCX, are based of their tire tread designs and shape.
The Comp Evo features an updated version of the Double Flex Control found on TCX's previous 2.1 boot, but doesn’t feature inner bootie, like many of TCX’s previous models. The molded Comp Evo Michelin will be available for $569.99, while a stitched-sole version of the sole (Comp Evo) for more off-road or enduro riders will be available for $539.99.
TCX also had their newest entry-to-mid level boot, the Helium X, on display. This boot is basic in construction, but does utilize the sole from the Comp Evo Michelin. This boot will be available for $289.99.
