It was a Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki party in the first turn, with Blake Baggett and Tyla Rattray up front. But DNA Shred Stix / Star Racing / Yamaha's Gannon Audette (behind Rattray) snuck by on the inside and had the lead briefly. Baggett fell on the first lap of the moto, and spent the rest of it working from last place back to seventh at the end.
