Andrew Short and Ivan Tedesco

Andrew Short (Honda Red Bull Racing) and his teammate Ivan Tedesco had different paths in the first moto. Andrew started just inside the top ten, and was working his way forward. Tedesco was third early in the moto, and dropped enough spots that they met in the middle on lap four, when Shorty took over fifth spot from Ivan. They finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
