Midway through the first moto, it got really dark, and rain began to fall. Ben Townley (Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda) started in fifth, battled with Tommy Hahn, and got by both Tommy Hahn (Rockstar Energy Suzuki) and Mike Alessi (Jägermeister KTM) to finish fourth in the first moto.
