Southwick requires more fuel than any of the other tracks, and Dean Wilson's riding style requires more fuel than any of the other Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders. For example, at Washougal, where Dean and Tyla Rattray started together and were close to each other throughout one of the motos, Dean used much more fuel than Tyla, and was pushing the limits of making it to the finish. For Southwick, the team was taking no chances, and mounted up this big tank that was at least a gallon bigger than the stock tank. Dean wasn't very excited about the look of the bigger tank, but also didn't have to stress about making it to the finish.
