Here's my 3:
-Tomac and Jett are both not 100% and they split moto wins fairly easy over the competition.
-KTM still can't set up a 450 for supercross?, after dominating MX..
-Deegan has reached a new level of speed and confidence.
What's 3 things you noticed most?
1) Tomac's confidence is totally back. He only rips holeshots when he's feeling it, and he had great starts in both motos. A confident Tomac is a dangerous Tomac moving forward.
2) Sexton has major problems with both Supercross on the KTM, as well as being on the same track as Jett.
3) Deegan is absolutely owning the 250 class. If he can dominate the regional SX title this upcoming season, I think he should immediately move up to the 450s.
Deegan is the fastest 250. Jett is the fastest 450 This whole playoff deal is odd.
1. Tomac surprised me with that speed in both motos.
2. Jett is still the daddy of the 450 class and passed Tomac like he was standing still when he decided to pull the trigger.
3. Once again it’s always two riders that rise to the top no matter how hard the media want to push that the class is stacked so will always two or max three riders separate them self from all of the other champions/winners from the past.
Chase didn’t suddenly get faster during the MX season.
Everyone in the 250 class not named Deegan is still wildly inconsistent.
Don’t project MXoN results based on supercross form.
The Shop
1) That Jett is truly special, comes back from thumb surgery and picks up right where he left off, with a win on his shiny new 2025.
2) Tomac just wow, I really didn't see that coming. Excellent race speed.
3) As much as I'm still not a fan, damn that Deegan kid can ride a 250!
@Gypsy is that you? What's with the disrespectful Daddy comments? And did you really think THAT was Tomac going Beast mode?...because it wasn't. Even Tomac had to hide his laugh when they asked Jett about seeing Beast mode for the first time. That was just Tomac going fast, NOT Beast mode, there's more in the tank.
1) I was right; Sexton isn't nearly as fast as Eli or Jett. It doesn't matter what setup he gets or how well trained he is. He is simply not as fast, period. In the past, slower riders have triumphed over faster ones, and that is what Chase will have to do for the rest of his career if he wants to win.
2) Deegan has grabbed another gear. We're watching the beginnings of a fantastic career.
3) Julien Beaumer is the real deal. Great starts, good rides, and the dude got more comfortable at the front with each passing lap.
- Tomac’s first lap intensity surprise. I thought he got average jumps out of the gate and I thought he’d accept getting pushed back in the first turn. Nope. Wasn’t going to be denied.
- Deegan’s MXdN withdrawl is a real loss not just to Team USA, but to MX fans worldwide. He cemented my opinion that he is the best 250 rider in the world but we aren’t going to see that proven soon, if ever.
- Sexton has work to do.
ET is still a great racer but he is slowly winding down his whining career. That happens to every champion at some point.
Jett is smart and only goes fast enough to win. Once he has pulled out 3-5 seconds ho goes into a smooth cruise speed and if 2nd gets closer hi kicks up his speed and pulls away.
Unless the bike breaks Jett is going to win the overall in all 3 races.
There use to be more in the tank.. we probably need to move out of the 20-teens and into the realities of 2024. Hes still great and on "his" nights he still very fast but father time is undefeated and he is going up against younger guys who are just better. Not a knock.. just the situation at hand.
1. Scoops
2. the FMOTP
3. 1 person in the booth is still horrible
Looks like its going to be real hard to keep deegan off the 450 full time in 26'.
1 thing I’ll say is I’m on point with Eli , go back to the Eli prediction thread where I said Eli would use budds & Ironman as gate drops so SMX come around hes goona press the issue & here we are , 1 moto win & a fantastic battle with the heartbreak kid Jett
Calm down creepy guy with a Tomac profile picture.
The whole Jett being the daddy of the 450 class is a well known meme from moto memes on instagram ffs…
And Gypsy have his hands full with fluffing the Deegan camp…
Hunter, for whatever reason cant put together a strong second moto.
Track sucked, promotors sucked, SMX sucks…
