Dust on the moon is very weird. Firstly, because there is no atmosphere to suspend the dust particles; they fall straight to the ground just as fast as the rocks and larger dirt clods. Secondly, in that video the footage appears to be sped up, which alters our perception of the gravity as well.
Essentially, the dirt from the tires IS affected by "normal" gravity: that of The Moon.

Apologies if this that been talked about here, but damn those concrete barriers had me nervous while watching the races, especially when Hampshire hit that tuff block and went yard selling towards them!

Would have been nice to see Feld add tuff blocks along known areas for crashing, like the main rhythm lane.

Flame on...

That would cost money so there’s no way they’ll do it.

If they delete the pyrotechnics from the show, they could use those funds to improve safety.

Check out Toprak’s crash in in practice last week. He so lucky it wasn’t his head that hit the wall. Concrete bad!

I think they should add concrete lane barriers at all SX races. The barriers improve safety by reducing the instance of riders going out of control and into the other lanes.   The DOT does it on highways, it's about time we bring in these new safety features to SX.

Kind of like the barrier deniers. Lots of evidence to support something yet denial.

In science there is a thing called back-testing to confirm something. In almost 60 years we have not yet achieved credibility by any scientific measure.

Not to jump too far on that bandwagon, we know how folks like to label each other.  But just a couple of notable items, If Neil Armstrong was the first person to step foot on the moon, who was recording the video?  Honorable mention - he also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (no joke).

There has to be some sort of a solution. It was a good track, but those barriers are an unacceptable risk.

MxAddic wrote:

Ask AP and a bunch of others if the track was good. The only ones I heard say it was where on the box.

Isn't that how it usually works? Besides, I don't care what AP thinks. I know how it looked to me as a paying customer.

I believe the cement barriers are a huge danger, and need to be covered one way or another.  Either with tuff blocs or dirt.
