brocsdad Added a reply to 23-25 Yamaha YZ450F or 25 Honda CRF450

I have been debating on getting another 450 but the last YZF 450 (2020) was a beast and just to aggressive for me. I did have 21 KTM FE and I really liked the motor but hated the front forks. After reading the reviews about the Honda I was interested but I want to ride my friends KX 450. I’m...

It’s definitely possible when your adrenaline is going. I broke my collarbone and dislocated my shoulder but picked my bike up with the same arm. Then the pain hit.

I think the majority conclusion was the world would be a better place if he was hand-less. Smile

Correct! Nothing will happen until Honda jumps on board. At that point the technology race will take off. I "may" consider a Stark once the 2nd generation comes out with a longer battery life and the small bugs (as with anything new) are worked out.

As soon as Honda pushes their E bike you will see a different perspective by the AMA and the rest. Just like Honda pushed for the Chicks racing the Nationals with Fiolek when she was a Honda factory type rider.

The LS2 Subverter is an awesome helmet. Several people were wearing them at the Mini O's event and they were an event sponsor. They own the manufacturing plant so no 3rd party or reselling. You are buying a high quality helmet for 1/2 the price. Bobs Cycle Supply normally has great deals. Good Luck!

I've got an LS2 Subverter...I really like it, fits my head well, is light...fortunately I've never had to actually test it out (knock on wood)...I like the look of it (I realize it does seem to have a love/hate affect on the looks though)...my only complaint is that the visor has holes is it, and that's an issue riding into the sun sometimes.

The base design of the motor is the same but the airbox, cam, cam chain and mapping are different. The 24 is stronger mid thru top than 23 with a Twisted Vortex, screen elimination kit and FMF slip on.

I watched a kid on a YZ 125 pull the holeshot and smoke the 250C and 450C at the Iron Man qualifier. Granted he probably wasn't a true C rider but the YZ is by all means competitive.

Yes, it's the best bike out of the box. If we were to switch brands I would lean towards the KTM but it's pricey to convert or fix the front forks. We also have a relationship with the Yamaha dealers and they cost us less. The KTM would have been close to 2K more. As far as motor mods the...

The Twin Air should fit. We bought the DT-1 Screen elimination kit but the stock filter fits. The great thing is it's just the cage and nothing to remove and install.

My son has rode all the bikes including the Honda. On the Honda he complained about the front forks, lack of stability and overall harsh or rigid feeling. On the YZF his only complaint was the front fork. It was good but not as good or rideable as the previous model. So we had it re-valved for $280 at Mini...

The Stevie is very similar with a little more engine braking. The TP map was in the older models and not for the 24. For 24 you have the following: 1). Keefer Aggressive 2). Keefer Free Feeling 3). Responsive (Regains low end of previous years but harder hitting) 4). Stevie - (Yamaha Employee at Test Track)
