Not a bit. Road tripped to our place in N.Carolina for three days of the banff mt film festival. Always a good time with friends from across the S.E. Nobody bailed due to the price per gallon. In a couple of weeks we're driving up to Bardstown KY for a tour of bourbon distilleries. Then next month off to N.California for a friend's wedding and a road trip up the coast. Life goes on. And there's no time sit around. Fill up and go.

There is nothing wrong with living in a society "like that" if you are a law-abiding citizen. You will have nothing to fear if you live and play by the rules. No need to chop hands off.
