2004 Honda CRF450R 10
General Info
Parts
I built the CRF450R for riding off road. Steve at Factory Connection specified a plush suspension setting that still works well with MX, Scott from MOTO STUFF provided their 270mm front brake rotor, which is powerful and very progressive (I am going to take Scotts recommendation and upgrade to the 2012 master cylinder for better lever feel) and I was able to find a new White Brothers Carbon Pro on eBay to give the motor some added bark. I am very impressed with the suspension, brakes and power of the bike. What surprised me is how well bike performed on the track even though the bike mods were intended to be best suited to off road riding. The bike is within a half of a pound of my 2012 CRF 450R and significantly more powerful. Not to mislead, the 2012 feels way lighter while riding. This 2004 CRF450R is still a competitive motorcycle! The clutch on the bike still needs to be addressed. I'm leaning towards the Rekluse EXP 3.0 Auto.
