Picked up a 25 CRF450R on tues and had it's first ride last night at Supercoops in MI (deep sand). Maybe I drank a little too much kool-aid but I've been a Honda guy for the past 10 years and I'm in love with this thing. Didn't always gel with my 22 but was starting to figure it out. Hopped on this thing and it feels like a similar bike yet much more natural to ride. The bike just reacts when you think about putting it somewhere. Much easier to ride. Trying not to get too excited over one ride...

My son has been far too big for his RM85 for at least a year, so I've been looking for a 125 for him. Lo and behold, just weeks before his birthday, I found this (pretty) clean '21 and bought it for a song. The hour meter on it reads 15 total hours. Just needs a few parts to replace some wonky choices- it looks like stuff got stolen off it or removed after a crash. Plastic, grips and a throttle tube and she'll be ready to rip! Starts first kick. Score.

The old timers love the battle talk, they (we) don't like the BS excuses and manufactured drama from a marketing machine. You need to hate your competition to give yourself motivation? Go for it. Saying Chance has one coming because you think he purposely put his leg in your front wheel at speed is nonsense and the REAL old timers see it for what it is.

Not to derail this thread but if you believe the Deegans to be "true American hero's" you know nothing about America. I have served with both Doug and Amy and they are closer to being American hero's than any of the Deegan's. I served with Doug when he was flying F-18's off the pointy end of the USS Independence over in Japan, and served with Amy at the bureau in Millington when Casey was just a baby. I guess you and I have a different idea about what makes a person a hero.

Well… I did not think anyone could even come close to Jett. I’m sure a lot of people will say “Jett was tired. Jett was injured and not fully recovered. Jett knew he had the win with a second and let Chase win. Etc etc.” But that’s motocross. Chase straight up won it. And yes, I’m eating crow 😎

Whatever map you pick and whatever you do with the sliders is supposed to apply to white and green. I assume the "standard" setting with all sliders set to 3 is stock like the bike is off the showroom floor. The TC slider should only have affect the engine when TC is on. If you had to get an update to make the CUO work on your bike then you also got the latest mapping from KTM. Since KTM first released the new 250f in 2022 there have been some calibration updates, and the engine response is more aggressive than...

The KTM instructions give you all the information you would ever want about installing the unit and how to route the wires and where to put cable ties, but absolutely nothing on how to use the thing once it's installed. I have been going off the assumption that the stock maps are 3 for traction control, throttle response, and engine braking.
