Prado has shown flashes of elite speed. I need to see him put it together for a main when it matters, in wet/adverse conditions, and lastly, for a full season (let's see what happens outdoors). He is an elite talent with all the potential in the world.

I think a huge draw to the Surron’s is no maintenance, sound, or gas/oil. I’d guess 90-95% of the kids riding them probably don’t have any interest in a legitimate dirt bike or any kind of off-roading. These new wave of chinesium products aren’t even IP theft anymore. They might use a similar or even exactly the same plastics (like TM used to do, usually a mix of YZ AND CR plastics) but the core components and engines IP are sort of deals. Set the gate picks from qualifying earlier in the day. And a separate race for those outside the top 20 qualifiers. Let the "night show" be about 2 mains each class. 15, and 20min. for both. And 30 min. for track prep between the two. It'll never happen though.

I can’t believe anyone likes the traditional over triples. Watching 3 hours of gate picks that barely freaking matter is so dumb.

I mean a heat race and a main are 2 gate drops already. I like a 2 moto format. For Supercross I really love the triple crowns because it’s all racing that matters and no hour break between heats and mains

The majority of the stadium floors do not allow enough track length to get 1 minute lap times. Anaheim and Glendale are the only two currently on the circuit with lap times over 1 minute without adding gimmicks like walls, s turns, and narrowing the track lanes. It takes a Supercross bike about 7 seconds to go from one end zone to another with all the obstacles we can throw at them, multiply that by 7 lanes. Unbelievable how much action they miss while blabbering about RC and James’s racing days 20 years ago or whatever other pointless story line they are trying to ram down our throats. Show the fucking racing and comment on what you are seeing. It’s not that hard.

Not that there isn't room for improvement, but the bikes being too good is the real root of the problem. Given the footprint they're working with there's just not much you can do that's going to slow these bikes down. They'll just end up launching things if you try. Injuries, lap times, tracks.... all of it..... not going to get better until they slow the bikes down. Every motorsport goes through it but seems like it's a total non starter in this one. If they're married to 250 and 450 they could at least adopt sound regulations that are borderline...

I think it's safer to assume it's not a Japanese OEM because (to quote 280driver) design by committee is a decidedly un-Japanese approach. I could be wrong, but after 30 years of living here, I've don't recall ever seeing a Japanese company ask, "what do you think we should do?"

I generally trust Yamaha’s over KTM’s any day. If you still race & want extra power maybe the 150 is your bike - otherwise the YZ is an all around, time tested FUN bike. Another point to consider - handling. Have you ridden many KTM’s? Their feel is unique compared to Japanese bikes. Some love it, some hate it.
