And here we go again… starting my 3rd resto of the year. 2000 rm250, i paid 500$ for it, it was torn apart in boxes and the frame was powder coated. Starting fresh. Has a cracked case, will be rebuilding the OEM crank.. kashima fork tubes, yellow excels, SOBE era TP/KW replica bike. It wont be exact or high dollar but i love those bikes so it should be fun. Wish the frame was black but no biggie. Same as last build… ill be offering this bike for sale AT COST for a short period of time. Ideally to a younger guy who otherwise wouldnt be able to afford a bike built like this. Thanks for following along on another build, hope yall enjoy it as much as i do.
Have the finished pictures? Thinking of building one myself.
This guy did some incredible builds for the short time he was active. Wonder if he’s still riding/building.
If you happen to still be working on this resto and need a pristine pipe I have one for a 1999/2000 RM250. It was basically a new takeoff. I got it hoping it would fit my '96 (it didn't). I put a new coat of high-temp paint on it.
