I had the same problem with a yz125 shorty silencer not lining up. I would have had to bend it in a vise to get the mounting tab to bolt up. I called and got a guy in the back at FMF and explained the situation and he seemed to suggest I did not know what I was doing. I sent the FMF back and bought a pro circuit and it bolted right up,no issues.
Lol. You wish they could stop by and take a look at it. I think they figure everyone has a hammer right? Quality control? It’s in my right hand, don’t worry I’ll fix what you forgot to test.

A lot of ti bolts. Weight saving approximately 1 lb @ $600 +/-. Just about every small bolt with a few 8mm (forks, sub frame, axle pinch, top engine mounts, rear sprocket).

Sorry axle pinch bolts stock = 46g ti = 28g. 453.6g = 1 lb. The bigger bolts I’m sure would equal bigger weight saving. I wasn’t going to remove larger 12.9 bolts and swap them with grade 5 ti bolts. So suspension and lower engine mount bolts are factory. I also don’t know the weight savings from ti axles because I’m not willing the $$ on ti axles. I’m also thinking the pc carbon pipe has the potential to save a lot of weight. The price seems high but compared to the number of bolts it takes to save 1 lb it might actually be cheaper.

Some of the stock larger 8mm bolts

The smaller 5&6mm bolts add up

The weight saving going to ti is is roughly 40-45%

Did RK Tek have you install a different thickness base gasket ?
Did FMF ever say why they are constantly having fitment issues ?

No and no Smile . I talked to rk on the phone when I ordered the insert and told him I was mixing 110 pump with 91 non eth 50/50. He said “I got what you need” and he sent it to me in a day. The fmf pipe (or silencer) isn’t on the bike anymore. I put stock pipe with pc 304 silencer on but haven’t rode it. Thinking about a pc pipe too. I didn’t expect to hear from fmf about the pipe or silencer not fitting. The pc silencer does actually have the offset mounts so at least they did their homework!

Good to know, I won't waste my time with FMF. PC it is.

Between the work PC did to my 125 and the fit and finish of the pipes for both my 125SX and 150SX I don't have one bad thing to say about them. They've been a stand up company anytime I have rang their line with some questions.

I’m curious about the pipe and mostly the head stay on the rh side. The shape of the pipe is hugely different from 2018 to 2019/2020. I’m having a hard time getting at 2018 150sx rh side head stay. The 2018 (if it’s not obvious) head stay doesn’t have the threaded hole for the pipe mount.

I’m done for now until I can save enough $$ for Mx tech lucky carbon. Lots of Chi everywhere, even where you can’t see. I need to get a decent scale just to see what it weighs vs the 06 cr250 with both full on fuel.

Lol! Yeah I know. I don’t know if that fell a tooth or if it was in that position last time I rode?
