You still rotate our bars forward and levers are level with the bar at a minimum!

Oh... You have no idea what steer with the rear wheel means or why it matters?

That's pretty damn accurate. Especially the helmet fins

I'd add bleached hair to that list too

The only thing you scrubbed was your garage.
Pink was awesome.
AXO was really popular.
The King was MC not some half ass dude in a huge palace in Brussels.
Gates were stacked with 40+ riders on every gate from every class.

Yep my bars are still rolled forward & the levers are running sky high. I used the cut the side pieces of off the Oakley half mask just like Jeff Matiservich. I thought it looked the shit!

You knew how to keep a Factory finished pipe from turning into a rust heap and thought the nickel plated pipes were for harleys.

Cutting the cuffs off your jersey on a hot day and then proceeding to cut 50,000 holes in it so you didn't get heat stroke.

Oh and you thought nothing of why jerseys were made of cotton.

I was a kid in the 90's so I remember circling and turning down corners of those catalogs, haha

Everything but terrafirma 3, terrafirma 2 is the classic.

I guess I'm getting old. I have both sets gear that were shown in that article. There were so many more tracks to ride at back then.

That list is spot on. It took me so long to stop checking for a petcock when I got my first fuel injected bike and back in the 90's the baggy gear to regular gear ratio was about 50/50 at the tracks in SoCal. I still have just about every one of those videos from the 90's on VHS....all the Terrafirma's, the Crusty's, MotoXXX's, Disturbing the Peace, Fly, Steel Roots, Wrath Child, 5th Gear Pinned, LBZ Chromed and Re-Chromed and a lot more.

hell yeah, and I bet Leeann is still quite nice.

Plus, some of you thought this looked good. Admit it, they sold a bunch.

It's really just the side panel and rear fender graphics that needed to go, and everyone took those off anyways. They looked great once in race trim.

That's pretty good except I actually went through with it and got the nipple ring. I don't recommend it.

I wouldn't admit this publicly, so just between you and I, I liked the look of the seat cover once the side panel and rear fender graphics were burned.

If you remember running home from the school bus on Mondays straight for the mailbox, it was cyclenews time!

If you used to jump front-wheel high off of every jump, just so you could hit the rear brake midflight

If you ever raced a mini-national, out of the back of a pickup (imagine that!)

Numbers, the bigger the better

If you grew up riding with a finger on the clutch at ALL times

If you remember what a revelation it was the first time you tried gloves that didn't have plastic over the knuckles (Axo padlocks for me)

If you remember having to stack your own tearoffs the night before

If you've ever been so close to the track at a national that you could've high-fived the riders as they came by

If you remember the days when the soil at nationals would actually vary from track to track (Broome-Tioga anyone)?

If you remember what a big deal it was to jump a triple

If you ever taped monopoly $100 bills to your helmet, because MC

If the names Art Eckman and David Bailey make you smile

One word - Xtreme

Fun times

The finger on the clutch is a good one. I have tried to unlearn it and I swear it would be easier to quit a drug addiction.
