DAMN! This is one sweet ass build. I have an 06 Crf250r that I am planning on doing sometime next year. However, I'm a little leary of getting into the motor. I have the service manual. Just more concerned with touching the gearbox. I would love to send it off but am only on a High School work schedule so not too much time. I have a huge list of plans. Just not sure yet. I want to set it up for woods riding as i spend all my time out in the rocks/trees/desert/woods/harescramble.

Wow, I somehow missed this thread for over a year! You've done a great job, and those fork coatings really complete the package.

Great idea on the frame. I remember Two Wheel Motorsports doing this on their race bikes in the 90's and 00's. They ran a top team in the Canadian Nationals back in the day.

Here are a few photos of JSR in 2008 on his TWM bikes.

Edit: this was 1998 of course, not 2008.

Thanks! That's cool, I had no idea about those team bikes. Thanks for the pics! My father used to do it on his race bikes back in the day. Not as flashy as chrome, but different than silver. Looks really good in person IMO

Number plate top hole lines up, bottom holes i just attached with 2 zip ties. Number plate and triple clamp both have holes, no pins to connect them.
You can press in two spring pins for that!

I pressed in two on the triples of my '05 YZ250 to make the updated number plate work.

Had to drill out the whole a tiny bit, but they went in nice and don't look bad since the pins I had were coated black.

It's "works", ya know?Wink

Just curious, what Pro-circuit triple clamp top and bottom pt# did you get for this build?

Those are made in specific for the KX two stroke series , a certain batch (ones ofs.)JP KX250 Clampsno need to bore the clamps.
