Looking to pick up two 6d helmets for me and my son. Does anyone have a recommendation on best place to order from that has a good return policy. No where locally to try one on. Pretty confident in size but just want to be sure before I drop that much in a new lid.
Thanks

Be careful. Many places do not allow returns or exchanges due to the Corona virus. Check in before you buy.

I have a 6D that I got on RMATV. I’m extremely disappointed with it. It fits fine and feels good until about an hour into riding when it gives me an intense headache with a rapid onset. It’s so bad that the first time it happened I pulled over while leading the open expert class on the last lap to change helmets and lost the race. I’d love to get rid of it for a low price...

Do to the timing we want be going to Lorettas this year. I did contact Mx locker and am very pleased with the price. I’ll probably be ordering from there tomorrow. I appreciate the leads on the good deals

That’s good to know. I haven’t ordered them yet. A guy I know is letting us try his sons this weekend to see if the size will work. Hesitant on ordering one for my son. He is 5 and can wear an xs adult helmet. The only youth helmet I was able to find is the leatt he currently wears. Their youth large is 53-54cm. Most adult xs are 53-54cm. Looks like the xl youth 6d is 52-53cm. is hate to get him a helmet and make him develop a bad riding style because his head wants to bounce everywhere

Not all helmets work on all heads, I can't wear a Shoei or some Bells. My 6D is for me, the best helmet I've worn. It's a great product that doesn't work for you. I did try on a friends Arai and I might be able to try one of those.

i was super stoked to get back to shoei after i wore an ATR2 as it just didn’t quite fit my mellon right. purchased a new EVO 6 months ago and life was good until this morning when i pulled the pads to wash and this happened 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

that’s the MEDS motion control portion of the shell and the front clip for the center pad... the MEDS just fell out and it’s supposed to be protecting my head... WTF!

so any who where can I find a good deal on a new ATR2 black and white shadow in size large?

Something to consider when buying a new helmet is that the head circumference measurement isn’t the only thing that matters. I really wanted to try a 6D so I bought a large ATR-2 (58-59cm) and a large Arai VX-Pro 4 (59-60cm). Doing my own head measurement put me at 59cm circumference. I did the at-home try on test for approximately 30 minutes with each helmet and the 6D gave me a strong headache at my temples after 15 minutes and the Arai did not even after 30+ minutes. Based on the advanced technology (and looks admittedly) I really wanted the 6D to work for me but it did not. I suppose I could have tried the XL 6D (60-61cm) with larger cheek pads but I believe a correct fit of the entire head is the most important factor when choosing a helmet. I also liked that that the large sized Arai shares a shell with the medium size due to less rotational leverage. I listen to a lot of Joe Rogan podcasts and his talks with fighters and other athletes has me pretty concerned with the lasting consequences from head injuries.
