Looking at it on my phone so not sure, but from what I see the welds look nutsy. Not impressed from what I see.

To be fair because I know someone will say it, it's not a real cone pipe, they took a standard works pipe and added some welds. But that just makes it better because it doesn't change the performance of the pipe. I think it's georgeous, plus I bet you can get it done from 85cc-250cc.
Scalvini performance and fitment just doesn't have me sold.

Are they cutting a stamped pipe and then welding it back together? This is just for looks of course as it would not improve performance over their stamped pipe.

I don't think they intended for it to be a competitor for a true cone pipe. The heading at the top of the ad clearly says "the cone look without the cone price."

Now the only thing that would swing me toward pro circuit Is the carbon silencer, that's the next step for bills.

I ordered one last week, should have it anyday, I ll post a pic its going on a 15 300sx

Carbon silencer for aesthetics and look ?

Tricksy tricksy companies are getting 2 stroke fiends closer to the 4 stroke pipe market with these niche ideas.

For your sake I hope the welds on it look better than the one in the ad photo.

Bill's has always had good products as far as I know although I have never personally bought one.

Those welds look strange to you guys because it is welded from the inside. What you are seeing on the outside is actually the root of the weld. That's why it doesn't look like a normal weld.

I don't believe it's welded from the inside and that it's the root of the weld. This is a "cone look" pipe, meaning not a true cone pipe. It's just beads of weld around an otherwise stamped pipe.

In that case, yup, you're right - the real deal is sounds more appealing.

I can't believe Bills spells out what they are doing (making a regular stamped pipe and then adding welding bead around to look like a cone pipe) and people still make up their own account of what is going on.

Yeah, it actually says that in the ad already. Nobody has to say it.

I tried to point this out with the Jessy Nelson FMF Fakey, but strangely many of the Vitards didn't believe me...

This is the scalvini on my 15 300sx, I have the fmf and pro circuit, and should have the bills by friday, so far imo, the scalvini is by far the best pipe of the 3, it has more everywhere n the bike revs to the moon, the pc id say second and than the fmf. The fmf is pretty much the same as the stocker, I cant wait to try this bills , brandon told me that it blows the scalvini away in performance, well c. This is the new version of the scalvini also, their pipes in the past didnt mount well, not a problem though with the new one.

This shouldn't come as a surprise, should it ? Laughing

I've owned a Scalvini on my '07 Suzuki 250 and can say it worked good, but more looks than actual better performance. I went from an FMF SST to the Scalvini. Bills pipes have ALWAYS worked well. Jeff and Bill are really good people, they sponsored my son for many years on 80's, thru the 125's and 250's.

Good to hear, I had a Scalvini on my yz and liked it better than the fmf I had. It did have fitment issues but after minor "mods" it was sweet. I'd definitely consider Bills or Scalvini on my ktm but currently have PC.

jessica patterson had a "weld over" pipe on a yz125 a couple years ago, and Digger29 had it eight years ago on his rm250 aka, the Madden pipe
