There's nothing like doing 5th gear wheelies with just a Twist of the wrist and this bike definitely fits the bill. It has lights, turn signals, key switch and even a horn!
A lot of you guys have seen this thread about my best friend Don passing away recently from his three year battle with cancer:
https://m.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Motorcycle-Friends-are-the…
His 500 was parked for about 4-5 years as he had a KTM 300 for Moto/Trails and had a XR 600 for dual sport.
I remember him telling me about his 500 that it was now hard to start and it was on its last bore as he used to like to keep it fresh.
So it needed some TLC that he never really had enough time for. And being the perfectionist he was Don was going to go ahead and do the lower end at the time even though it never had any issues.
I'm open for ideas from the experts out there.
So his wife needs to move on and has been selling his stuff with the help of his friends.
I really don't need this bike as I already have three but she recently bought a new vehicle and needed to sell it.
So the last thing I needed to do was buy another motorcycle but I figured this could be a good project and I could restore it.
I honestly do not know what I will do with it after that but will probably not keep it, time will tell.....
Bailey is checking her out and wondering what the heck Dad!
See you on the next ride.....
